Can I just say how annoying it is when people talk about George not looking like a guy? It’s stupid. It makes me feel stupid for liking him (you know, as a grown man) and I hate that people ruing things about him ugh.
Oh my gosh, anon, don't feel stupid about liking him at ALL. You are not the problem and you are certainly not alone in feeling annoyed by this because I see it as well.
I always think, like, how would I feel if I was a public figure and hoards of people went around saying I look like a man and that I'm masculine and calling me a man/husband/prince?? That would make me WILDLY uncomfortable and genuinely quite upset and insecure so why is it 'okay' to do it the opposite way LOL. Writing it in fic/drawing concepts here and there is one thing, creative expression, it's FICTION or ART...but all the REAL IMAGES OF GEORGE with captions or tags calling him wife/mother/princess/lesbian/woman often and unironically irk me the FUCK OUT. I have literally started blocking people for this because it's so wildly unhinged and uncalled for imo
Just because a male public figure doesn't fit the stereotypical mold for what a "man" should look or act like DOES NOT MAKE HIM ANY LESS OF A MAN.
George Russell is a beautiful MAN. A gorgeously handsome MAN. With strong muscles and a kind smile and perfect hair and a smooth voice and kindhearted compassion and strength in his emotions and a good fashion sense and a fighting spirit and intense passion and drive and he is HIM. Everything and anything all encompassing of HIM. Him, him, him, him, him. GEORGE.
Feminizing him feels so backhandedly toxic to me. Don't get me wrong: there is nothing wrong with being feminine and being a female or even being somewhere else on the gender spectrum and choosing to express yourself in any way you feel comfortable. But leaning into the stereotypes that all he's good for is to be submissive and cutesy based on how he lives, exists, or carries himself is so NOT IT. It sheds a negative light on women, on gender expression and the spectrum, and the acceptance of breaking away from gender norms and stereotypes regardless of your gender identity.
#i feel SO STRONGLY about this#a joke here and there is one thing but when people genuinely go on and on about it unironically#my brother in christ please check where this is coming from because it feels so not okay#george russell#gr63

❤️🩹 d hunter of the dead, pls 🥹
I think out of the strangely particular trope of Soulsborne fanatics (Lautrec, Alfred, himself, his brother, Leda and Queelign) he is actually the most objectively likeable! I don't dislike any of the characters listed, but he is so much "better" in my book that I often even straight up forget to put him in this list ;-;
Before Golden Order existed, the dead was ushered forward by Mariners and then collected and burnt by the Deathbirds, and afterwards the dead were ushered to rejoin their bodies buried at the roots to be reborn within the Golden Order. Him trying to cancel out the secret fourth stage of life that is raising from the grave without soul is closer to preservation of laws of nature in this setting than resisting them; Those Who Live in Death are not exactly like Undeads from Dark Souls! Before GO, it were the souls who continued to exist for awhile after death in Land of Shadow before finally disappearing for good, not the bodies 🤔 He doesn't exactly resist "returning things to how much better (?) they used to be before GO" because this is just not what Age of Duskborn accomplishes
Also the growing deathroot will harm people who are still alive and would probably like to exist WITH their souls for a while longer, as well as TWLID will be hostile and apparently kill people. Not just the corpse that he finds and honors; me going up to see a turtle pope and some of the TWILD crawling out from the ground just to kill me was uncalled for fhfdhs I don't know, man. Him claiming his motivation is to "preserve the sanctity of the Golden Order" doesn't cancel out how he is the most reasonable and approachable than all other characters in the 'fanatics' list at the start imo. Literally the best guy in this 'list'. He doesn't have fanatism for the sake of fanatism
#ask replies#elden ring#d hunter of the dead#disclaimer I don't dislike deluded fanatic characters either lol#but d is genuinely likeable and not 'so comically evil it is good'#leda is like 50/50

minor detail but. Regarding the post linked in this ask https://www.tumblr.com/transfemme-shelterdog/785840091874623489/we-cant-have-one-day-without-tmas-pulling-this?source=share it also feels pretty shitty that there was no mention of any transmasc headcanons? also the entire main cast was labelled as either nonbinary, a girl or a transfem egg, and idk I'm probably thinking about it too much but leaving no boys in the main cast is lowkey giving "everybody would be better as a girl/fem". I'm probably thinking about it too much and being a dick it just really bothered me so I'm anon venting don't mind me
It's a valid concern, IMO. I don't really buy that nobody in that game series is at least cis male, let alone transmasc. Like, IIRC (and I'm going off what I've read through memes and stuff people have posted about the game. My knowledge of the series is 100 percent cultural osmosis), Toby is a cishet guy. So I'd assume that he would at least have one guy in that game series. Like, Sans, Papyrus, that DILF goat dude, and Spamton at least seem like binary cis dudes, or hell, transmasc/binary trans man if you wanna label everyone trans in some way.
I don't think you're being a dick at all. There's guys in that game series that that post could've labelled as transmasc/trans men. You're allowed to feel like that is gross and uncalled for.

everything ed did to izzy was entirely justified. punching him, choking him, and generally just hating him. izzy deserved it. he’s an asshole, and im not even saying that affectionately. he SUCKS. and yeah i love izzy because he’s silly and stupid (and hot (imo)) but he’s the kind of guy that i like only as a character. if he was a real person i’d hate him. he treated ed like shit, he treated stede like shit, he treated everyone like shit. so everything ed did to izzy was well deserved after probably years of mistreatment.
edit: the toe thing and shooting izzy’s leg off was really fucking uncalled for though 😭 those are the two things that i really wouldn’t defend in terms of ed standing up to izzy
#good lord total yap session over here#pretty much my whole account is centered around loving izzy but im posting anyways#ofmd#our flag means death#edward teach#izzy hands#izzy hands critical

my thoughts on the new episode as always, as I am currently losing my shit lol. I know a lot of people dislike me after last ep when I spoke up about my thoughts, but this time I'm ready to be more mature about it.
1. I love the Hu argue uhhh thingy! I forgot what it's called ngl! I love her and Nico's new sprites too, they were really all amazing and conveyed so much emotion!
And then Hu said this 💀
genuinely insane analogy to make here. I'm sorry, but that was actually insanely uncalled for imo.
2. I think everyone forgot Hu's custom weapon is wire, (if you realized and predicted this, huge props to you), and I did not expect Nico to try and frame Hu for murder like that. NicoHu divorce arc when??? Just kidding, but they're much more cruel then I originally thought. I completely understand trauma from not being accepted as the person you are which was likely in the form of bullying/abuse, but I was genuinely surprised that they really try and murdered Ace just because they didn't like him and they didn't want to go through that again. Very interesting. I also feel very bad for Hu, because she's poured her heart into trying to protect Nico, and even though her methods are EXTREMELY flawed, it must hurt to know someone you really tried to help would try to frame you for murder. This makes me wonder if Nico felt Hu was a threat to their sense of self like Ace was, if they were going to try and pin a murder on her. I'm glad Charles and J told Hu to shut up though, because she was becoming unreasonable. I really hope things turn out the best for her though, because it's clear she's coming from a place of kindness, even if her kindness is mostly self-serving.
3. As much as I don't really like the guy, I'm very glad to have seen Ace pop off. Everyone has treated him like shit, and even if he's treated everyone like shit back, he did not deserve to be almost murdered and then for people to just not care. I really hope Ace ends up making a friend if he isn't the killer, because he really deserves someone to care about him the way mostly everyone in the cast already has someone.
4. They both make very good points here. I think Ace deserves an apology, but a real one.
5. "of course I regret doing it, I'm not Levi" - Nico
THATS ACTUALLY INSANE- but that may be my favorite line of the ep. I'm glad Nico regrets the crime though, because I was scared for awhile they didn't and there might be another incident of the same thing again. This makes me think they won't try and kill again, but it's drdt so you never know, and I think they're a definite threat if they get provoked to that point so easily.
6. I feel so bad for Rose, but let me say, dare I say, I think Whit asking if Rose is okay might've been the sweetest thing Ive ever seen. A lot of people tend to forget that Whit is actually very compassionate, so I'm glad to see that part of him shine through again. Rose is so human, and I think she may be the most realistic character I've ever seen portrayed in a fangan. A lot of characters are able to just get back up after a murder, but she's stuck, and I think I would be the same way. Unfortunately there's zero mental health professionals (obviously, cause they all need to be in a ward) in drdt, but I hope that she maybe can come to cope in a healthier way with what's going on around her, because she doesn't deserve this mess. I didn't actually realize before that the cast had put her on a bit of a pedestal due to her amazing memory, but it makes sense. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I hope that Rose comes to peace with the turpentine and the tape thing because it really isn't her fault and that she can get help for her trauma due to Min and Xander, and Teruko's almost death. No matter how much people expect her to memorize a crime scene, she's human, and we all take things at much different paces.
7.
Hey David, didn't Whit teach us that trauma is a serious thing? You know I've been defending this guy a bit because of how he helped Eden and how I think he's trying to do what's right, but NEVERMIND. Because what the actual fuck is wrong with him to say something as messed up as these two statements. Rose and Arturo do not owe you anything, and they deserve to heal healthy, and at their own pace.
8. Teruko defending Rose was not in my ch2 trial bingo card, but oh my god, that really is sweet. I think Teruko really has started to change from talking with Rose.
I'm running out of images so I can't include her monologue, but it genuinely makes me happy she's starting to get some sort of character development. She really deserves it, and Charles really deserved being so fucking right about being social, lol. Also Teruko thanking Rose with that genuine smile on her face- brought me to tears. I hope they become friends :)
9. Ace and Eden, huh? To be honest, I'm completely torn and I can't see it being either one of them, but then again, I can't see it being anyone. I know so many people are complaining about not having a culprit reveal this ep, but I'm fine. I could wait another year and a half for the reveal. Actually, I don't think we need one at all. Maybe the true drdt is the friends we made along the way. Maybe it's better to choose delusion that nobody could've done it than it to have been Ace or Eden. Maybe, I killed Arei.
(I'm not that smart so I don't think I should be making killer theories, lol. I think it's safe to say I should stick to memes.)
10.
LMAOOOO. She right though.
11. "It pains me to come to Ace's defense" - David
another laughable moment, but a win for the Acevid shippers, I guess. I don't think David was lying though, and it was my suspicion all along that he had seen the body before anyone. I'm not very smart so I'm a bit confused as to whether later they're saying David actually did see her body (which is weird bc he'd have an alibi), or if he thinks someone else might've seen it and wanted to include that as a possibility.
12.
Teruko handled this whole situation super well, I was very impressed with her. Obviously you can't rule Eden out as the killer and Teruko explained that, but she was so compassionate and understanding about it that it made me cry. I never thought I'd say this, but here's a Teruko W. As for Eden pleading... I wish I could say more and I'm sure I'll be able to later, but it's just so likely she could be the culprit that I can't take anything she says at face value rn, and I was having trouble empathizing with her. Of course that's just my take, and I have already chatted with others who felt the whole scene was just a heartwarming experience, and that makes me really happy. This being said, the fact Teruko immediately turned to Ace as her main suspect TOOK ME OUT. I feel so bad for him he has literally done nothing but be suspicious to warrant this, while Eden is at the same level of suspicion. I really like that Teruko is playing favorites now, because Eden's been so good to her all this time.
13. I forgot to include David trying to get Teruko to not trust others!!! Shit!!!
Is that seriously how he plans to end the kg.. I can kinda see what he's going for bc so far the trope is in most danganronpa that you need to trust others to live and be fulfilled (not saying drdt is gonna follow that trope though). Hm.
Bro is actually down horrendous for Teruko though 😭

So you noticed it too? That Raph and Leo are so similar. That’s why I find the Leo and Raph fights annoying because they are both alike they should be agreeing with each other more
honestly i kind of just want to see a version where leo and raph just...get along with little to no major issues. actually, make them best friends. why not? 2012 was so close to doing this, but imo they fumbled the bag.
i guess i just dont understand why raph and leo fighting HAS to be a staple of every tmnt iteration. these iterations often dont even do anything interesting with their conflicts. we dont see their characters explored or expanded on a deeper level. in several iterations it's hard to call their conflicts two sided as it often boils down to raph throwing a tantrum about one thing or another and leo getting caught in the crossfire, which does nothing for anyone. ill try to explain what i mean by complaining about 2012 (a series i love, but man do i get frustrated with sometimes)
i remember watching tmnt 2012 s4 ep 18 mutant gangland and being absolutely appalled at raph in this episode
the episode starts out with him being angry for no discernible reason and then taking it out on leo during training with sudden brutality and aggression against him.
first he says he's angry that no one takes training seriously, which is not true, because we've never seen leo not taking training seriously against you?? and he's not doing it right now?
then raph accuses splinter of favoritism, which...no? not once in the show have i ever seen evidence of favoritism? what is bro on?? splinter doesnt "stick up for leo" here, he ends a fight that got too aggressive, reinforces their brotherly relationship in an effort to stop raph from killing his brothers, and reiterates the purpose of training, which raph seems to have forgotten. favoritism where??
this is not the first time in the series raph has gone off at leo during training by the way.
in s2 when raph meets casey (the good the bad and casey jones), raph strikes leo from behind after leo wins their fight.
it's not like splinter stopped raph from hitting leo then. he doesnt even yell at raph here. once again, i ask, where's the favoritism?
raph takes no personal responsibility for his anger, which would be fine, only this never gets resolved by the end of the series. he STILL has this mindset by the end of the show. like was that s1 turtle temper episode in which raph supposedly learned to control his temper not enough??? what are we still doing here??
this also ties into a general issue with 2012 where instead of creating new conflicts for the characters they start to repeat old ones. actually, one could argue that s4 raph actually gets WORSE. at least in s2 raph was somewhat remorseful, even though he quickly buried it in denial soon after.
back to the s4 example. then raph out of nowhere drags donnie into the conflict? ive never claimed to be a donnie fan, but this was uncalled for. bro was literally sitting there and drinking juice. i'll admit donnie did escalate the conflict unnecessarily, but hey, raph was the one to bring up the nonexistent favoritism thing in the first place.
like am i supposed to be on raph's side here? to me it just looks like he blew up for no reason. i have no idea what this guys is thinking!
we are at SEASON 4 and practically almost at the end of the series, and raph is STILL causing issues like this. this is some season 1 behavior. frankly, this is just embarrassing. season 4 was where raph's character as a whole really just went downhill for me. his "conflict" with leo is one example.
raph's running off leads to donnie getting captured. he must be feeling guilty. maybe we'll get some insight as to what his deal is.
that's...it? nothing else? ...okay, maybe they're saving it for the end of the episode. this is an action show after all, and we've got some action to cover.
raph frees donnie...and then fights together with the mutanimals instead of fighting with his team??
but wouldnt it have been better for raph to actually fight WITH his team to...you know...solidify his loyalty to his team? (a loyalty that really shouldnt have to be questioned by now because we're at the END OF THE SERIES???)
by the end of the episode, they apologize, but no one actually talks about anything. raph doesnt explain WHY he got so intense. he doesnt talk to leo or splinter about anything. also, raph NEVER apologizes to donnie for the shuriken nonsense he pulled at the start. huh??
one could argue that raph's issues are a matter of perspective, but it's hard for me to feel any sympathy when i can see objectively that the guy is just plain wrong.
leo and raph's conflict + raph's angst is often written in an incredibly shallow manner that often makes me end up disliking raph more because they never bother to flesh out his end of it. and im sorry to be mean, but raph almost never has a point when he says anything. he's just wrong. this episode is a prime example. unfocused conflicts like this end up feeling like unnecessary drama to me. im just not interested in this sort of thing.
id be okay with conflict between raph and leo if it was interesting, but i just keep seeing the same things over and over again with little to no exploration, so at this point im honestly just tired of it and would rather it not be included.
them being alike doesnt necessarily mean they have to agree with each other, and i dont mind them fighting, but can we have a balance or something? i like the understanding 03 leo and raph seem to have for one another. the way raph silently supported leo in forging his swords when leo was down on his confidence. when leo has an outburst at the team during s4 for not taking things seriously (havent gotten there yet. i saw a clip but idk the context so i could be wrong) raph actually appears to be the first one who agrees with him. this stuff is nice.
like do people think them getting along and not hating each other takes away the fundamentals of their characters? is it really that ingrained for leo and raph to just never get along? ive mentioned this before but i think tmnt has this thing where parts of characters are references to past material, which while may have worked in the past, just doesnt work for the version their writing for and ends up feeling hastily slapped on.

Finally watched the bachelorette finale.. why am i shocked that the Pete Davidson lookalike love bombed her n then broke up with her 🙃 so many issies with this season:
- why did they only have 2 asian men the whole season? 1 being more worried about the male drama then the relationship he had with her
- the Jack lookalike having the audacity to mention Maria then Devin started following her right afte he broke up with Jenn 😒 we get it, sum of yall wanted Maria. For sum of the contestants to mention a white contestant when yr a whole LEAD of a franchise, disrespextful af. And even more awkward cuz i dnt think Jenn n Maria are even friends anymore. And even if Maria was the lead i still think a lot of these men wuldv fucked it up with her
-The whole Devin situation... was he acting the whole time? So sad
-They shuldve given Jenn a choice to watch the proposal and made Devin watch it. She said "do i have a choice?" and no, she didnt. How sadistic of the producers.
-Nt Jenn related bt the way they annouced Grant was the lead was lame. Shuldv been announced live where we can hear ppl cheer for him instead of it being in a prerecorded video.
Girl! All of this!! 👏🏾
I agree with everything you said.
Girl, I thought the same thing. You're telling me that they couldn't find any eligible Asian men? 🥴 There was a really cute one on someone's season prior. I think his name was John. I just can't recall who's season it was. 😭
Ugh I'm so sick and tired of all the guys wanting Daisy and Maria. 🙄 I'm actually shocked ABC didn't make Maria the next Bachelorette, but maybe they saw greater potential with her for BIP. 🤷🏾♀️ Either way, it was disrespectful as idk what of Sam to tell Jenn on a national radio show that he was actually thinking the Bachelorette was going to be Daisy or Maria. See, this is the problem with ABC. They just build a cast, but don't tell them who the lead will be until it's way late. 🙄 That's not fair to woc imo. It also isn't fair just in general because you don't know if the person was really there for you.
I clocked Devin early on. I never liked him for Jenn. I was starting to warm up to him towards the end, only because he seemed like he was so into Jenn, which was smthg that was refreshing compared to indecisive Marcus 🙄. But still, he wasn't my first pick. And sure enough, my gut was right! Always go with your gut ladies!! It almost never fails you. My top two picks were Grant and Jonathan. Why Jenn chose such homely-looking, and indecisive men when she had both fiiiine Jonathan and Grant (who were seriously into her btw) standing RIGHT THERE is totally beyond me. 😒
I agree. They should have aired the proposal and the show the whole way through, and THEN brought Jenn out to explain what happened AFTER the show ended. The way they just kept her on stage and had the camera on her the entire time while she's crying and re-living her pain on air, LIVE, for all of America to see, was just sadistic and very low of ABC. 😠 That was uncalled for.
I thought his phone call to his mom was cute 🥰, but I agree, I would have preferred to have heard the live reaction from the audience. But hey, they said they already had the most applicants for a bachelor ever soooo rofl 🤣 😂

You dont have to answer if you dont want. But i stumbled upon an old post about Mu Qing up holding classism and that its Hua Cheng should be the face for it and i just felt conflicted? I tried to be open minded. And the big example they used is him kicking out of the army which imo kinda odd… to say.. But its combined with the fact Mu Qing called Hua Cheng a liar and he obviously didnt want Hua Cheng tagging along and he let Feng Xin with a broken arm carrying Hua Cheng . tbh, im fine with open intrepretation of that.
We all know Mu Qing doesnt have soft personality and hes prickly. I definitely do think in that liar scene, i saw it more as Mu Qing just being truthful than empathatic as he analyze the situation which i guess fine, MQ theres obviously time and place for that as hes scared and dirty. But even if his family condition was bad, based on how someone fixed up his clothes he could have thought he might at least have another person who does care which was why he even mentioned it in the first place. Anything is possible after all. Although, i did get confused whether did he know the info background on him because XL did overhear the mean things the kids yell at him about him being kicked our. Anyways, it wasnt as he was like no this kid cant stay. Unless theres a line that i missed. And he did try to carry Hong Er but hong er wouldnt let him which he did show hesitation to do it or not afterwards.
And how i view the army situation is even though it is indeed that youth dying rate is higher in war and Hua Cheng did die lol. But its also mixed with Mu Qing’s need to not want to be replaced. This man’s mind never rest lol. Which i get it. Hes very interesting for that. After all, his core character is all about being a survivor. But to say that he upholds classism is fucking deranged. Like Guoshi is right there for ruining his mortal life lol. Funny enough, they certainly dont mention about Feng xin (though hes in rage as Mq was frustrated and being rude with xl but still that was uncalled for) who reminded him to know his place. I brought FX up because in one of the comments of that post they were saying at least FX acted with good will. Lol okay. We definitely can see you not being genuine about the topic. At least be consistent.
And Hua Cheng beats classism by creating another system of his own? ive seen people say its different in ghost City as its really based on mutual beneficial agreement and all especially with Yin Yu. But my guy…. ..you mean him as the King? Bruh its not as simple as that 😭 The heaven is indeed full of classist Gods which is why they look down on LW and MQ and QYZ. But the system to get there isnt, as long as you have the abilities, hard work and luck. Idk like feel free to talk about Hua Cheng overcoming society classism and rise to the top and all. But i find that answer to be so simplisitic and not well thought out?
Also he isnt mentioned alot with that Topic because his narrative isnt strongly focused on that??? Its very clear hes about devotion to his God and the strength he does to be the best so he can take care of Xie Lian. And hes the main character too at that 😭 take it up with MXTX for making Mu Qing a side character, story to strongly ties around it. His insecurity is because of that too.
And the funniest part imo is to Hua Cheng, his insecurity is his appearance - i mean u can still make an argument that is rooted in him being born under a bad star and the classism that he faces over it. But still. Similar at its core but different hurt.
Anywyas, idk i feel the argument is just so???? I just need to rant lol
But how do you feel about the revision on him kicking out Hong’er because of guoshi words thaf hes a misfortune that will bring bad luck to XL? That i would like to know.
I think I know what post you're talking about, and I agree with you. The argument that Hua Cheng is the one who "fought" classism and that Mu Qing is upholding in it doesn't stand, in my opinion. First of all, because Hua Cheng's supposed victory over classism doesn't even take place in the world of the living, and Ghost City is everything but an egalitarian place. Which isn't his fault, of course, because a single person cannot change the world. Then, again, his plot in the novel doesn't mainly revolve around classism the same way Mu Qing's does. I'd say that his plot is more about marginalisation and abuse, even if social class was obviously a fundamental part of his condition.
Regarding Mu Qing, literally, unless he somehow became a revolutionary leader, what could he even do? He had one chance to get away from misery and he took it. Gods are not allowed to interfere with the mortal world more than what concerns their duties toward their worshippers. The heavens are a classist world, because they reflect the human world, since all gods used to be human, but I see no instance where Mu Qing even remotely upheld classism. A good part of his lines are specifically to complain about how others are classist, so it really doesn't make any sense. I think that the issue of Hong'er being kicked out of the army has an ambiguity, and the desire to keep a child (who by the way didn't have the age to be in the army) far from war, and his fear of being replaced and possible jealousy, coexist. Human emotions aren't a mono-dimensional thing.
I don't really have an opinion about the revised version, but having read the first version years ago, I'm more attached to it.

If anything, the taegum situation always gave me unrequited love/ one-sided vibes. Let's be real tae is always overly friendly and obviously a social butterfly, especially pre-2018. Developing a close friendship with another male is just his thing.
I think with the situation with bh not in their favor and the overwhelming fame they got starting 2017, he wanted an escape. And I can imagine kook fuming even if tae would've explained the nature of his relationship with bogum.
I think jk just always thought bogum had eyes on taehyung and never changed his mind as the years went by. That bb when bogum came to visit backstage was awkward as hell even the presence of the members there couldn't disperse the awkwardness. Tae kept his distance, which is weird, and Kook was either side eyeing bogum, tae, or both or being overly friendly with bogum ? Not to forget how he had his arm around tae at one moment (uncalled for).
It gave me the "omg the guy that i rejected visited me while my bf who doesn't like him is here too" vibe.
Like imagine the members not being there, tae would be sweating buckets and kook throwing daggers with his eyes.
Even lately, taegum seem friends yes but keep it more professional. There's some sort of boundaries and limits that are drawn that both of them are aware of.
Tae, on the other hand, while never shutting up about jk this jk that has never mentioned bogum even once.
Tbf to Bogum he wore a Kookie headband and came in peace lol. He was rather professional too, interacting with all of them and not just Tae. He wasn't the problem in that bb imo. I believe Tae did hang out with Bogum after that, so, it's not all doom and gloom for Tagumers.

so im in the process of finding a new console or handheld to play in my off time caaausee clearly the switch 2 isnt gonna do it for me (for now at least) so im thinking of looking elsewhere
ps5 randomly comes to mind! esp cause i already have the ocean blue ps2 & the maroon metal gear ps4~! <3
suddenly remembered astrobot. and how it used to be mentioned all over the place
so yes ive never played astro bot please keep that in mind however !
i did watch a decent amount of gameplay to get a good gist of it i mean
looked up some footage- IMMEDIATELY thought of mario sunshine AND mario galaxy
LOL
but yeah
the video above is
basically the only negative review i could find online that wasnt 30+ minutes long i mean lol
I do agree with the points he made that the game just seems WAYYY too easy. too many people like it just for the cameos and nothing else.
But that guy was kind of.. calling it "mediocre" was uncalled for bro. "overrated"? honestly yeah
-
Then I found this video:
youtube
LOLOLOL
id say the only one left out is pretty much any time astrobot rides his ps5 controller much like how kirby rides a warpstar lolol but YES THE ACCURACY TO DETAIL HOW WE LOVE IT HERE LOL
-
youtube
ok
but all that being said
i can appreciate credit being given where credit is due i mean
they blatantly point it out that they obviously took all their ideas from Nintendo to make this game so like i said credit where credit is due THANK YOU for not taking all the credit yourself and giving Nintendo a(n indirect lol) shoutout at your awards speech for goty
-
In conclusion, I'm probably not going to play this game
It's not enough to justify buying a PS5 for imo

I’m gonna piggyback on this post just to give some honest thoughts on Travis, travnat and travnat shippers haters:
First of all, like the post says, it’s not that deep. I thought they had potential at first, they weren’t my number one ship I just thought they were cute and I was rooting for them having a normal relationship. Just because someone likes a ship doesn’t mean “men ruin everything”, it just means they have different tastes an opinions. I’ve seen people shipping Nat and Misty and while I may not like the ship doesn’t mean I make posts about those who do ship them, claiming that they are “disgusting”. I think we should keep in mind the rule of thumb of “if you don’t like something keep scrolling.”
I recognize that travnat became toxic as time went on. Not the “he beats her up and she puts up with it kind of toxic” but the “we both do fucked up shit and support each other doing fucked up shit.” Considering what all of the Yellowjackets went through, a majority of the ships are in some way or another toxic (I’m a Jackieshauna truther and I can still admit they had a toxic relationship) so basing one’s hatred on a ship just because they are toxic in this fandom is clutching at straws. (The only ship that wasn’t toxic in the wilderness was taivan imo.)
Considering also the time period, Travis’s thoughts on Nat having sex with a lot of guys and having such a fragile masculinity and being misogynistic all check out. I’m not saying this excuses some of his behavior, but I can see where he comes from. He’s fifteen for crying out loud. He just lost his allegedly shit father and went through the same traumatic experience of being left in the woods as the rest of the Yellowjackets. Besides, his feelings weren’t always uncalled for. People forget Nat, like everyone else, did bad things like lying to Travis about Javi being dead. “But she was trying to protect him!!!” “She thought he was really gone!!!!!” That doesn’t excuse her actions. Need I remind you that Nat even let Javi drown. Nat isn’t perfect, neither is Travis, nor anyone else in this show and that’s quite literally the point. They are all morally grey characters who have done awful things and have lived through tragedy. People hurt people, that’s just a part of life, but they hurt each other even more seeing as they were all slowly losing their grip on sanity and, while that doesn’t excuse any of their behaviors, it helps you see why they are the way they are and do the things they do.
I’ll admit I’m not a lottienat shipper. I like their dynamics together as friends or frenemies but I don’t ship them like a majority of the fandom does. That being said, Lottie and Nat have had their fair share of “toxicity” to go around, like every other ship and/or dynamic in this show. I don’t see people getting angry at either Nat or Lottie. A part of me suspects people hate on Travis because he’s the only straight guy in the show who coincidentally was in a toxic relationship with a beloved character who people ship with someone else, but I digress.
I think most of the hatred people give Travis is unwarranted, especially considering he saved Nat when she almost overdosed and was not overall a shitty person to a majority of people.
In conclusion, I don’t ship travnat. They had potential when they first crashed but by the time we see them as adults I think they couldn’t survive as they were. However, Travis is a wonderful character and I really like him. I think the hatred people give him is exaggerated and instead of seeing him as an extension of Nat or as Nat’s ex/boyfriend, they should take him as he is: a boy who went through a lot and who’s just trying to survive like the rest.
“the fact that people ship travnat is a reminder that there will always be a man ruining things!!” It’s NEVER that serious my guy 😭😭,,,
liek u don’t have to like it,, but to make a whole post saying the people that do are vile and disgusting is kinda reaching tbh..
#travnat#yellowjackets#travis martinez i will defend you with my life#lottienat#just a small rant#no hate to any of these ships nor those who ship them these are just my thoughts and opinions

Haven't read Steph's robin appearances in order/in a while, but iirc, Tim did want to be with Steph (even if he was on the fence about it initially and rebuffed her a lot, not to mention characters like nightwing saying a girl like Steph has ''too much baggage'' for a guy like Tim to deal with. Lol. Lmao, even) but did like and want to be with her, he just didn't tell her the secret identity thing due to loyalty to Bruce
I think part of his anger at Bruce in this arc (or the intention at least) has to do with Bruce being a hypocrite by telling Steph after Tim had committed to not telling her for bruces sake. Plus he also had this complex about compartmentalizing being tim and being Robin and didn't like the idea of Steph crossing over into Tim's life. Bruce is a huge unjustified asshole here…but that's par for the course when Dixon writes him imo. And he's meant to be the hero…
(sorry to keep rambling, I said I was done, but Bruce's attitude in the prior issues in this story and later in Steph's robin run have me thinking it was less about him acquiescing to her stubbornness and more…using her as a bench warmer for tim anytime him and bruce had a disagreement. Which again. Really messed up, Bruce)
Thanks for responding! It does help to get some background from more of a Tim fan, which I am not. Not that I dislike Tim or anything, I just never got into his books. My own engagement with actual comics - as opposed to, like, cartoons & movies based on them - pretty much started and ended with Cass Cain's Batgirl run.
While being hung up on keeping his personal and hero lives separate kind is sort of understandable, though, from just these two issues I don't really get the impression that he had communicated that to Stephanie. Either way Tim was still using "keeping Batman's identity secret" as an excuse to avoid having to tell Steph the honest truth that he just didn't want a romantic relationship.
And it's more than just dating. Again, I'm working from an impression formed by just these two comics, I'm not looking at the actual conversations Tim had with Steph about this in the past, but whether it's accurate or not the Impression she was left with seems to be that the only reason Tim wouldn't tell her his real life identity was because of Batman, like he had pushed the whole thing to Bruce, so then why shouldn't Steph think it's fine for Bruce to change his mind and tell her Tim's identity, when Tim left her with the impression that he would have done so himself but for Bruce?
Again, I get Tim being mad at Bruce. But the anger at Stephanie, coming from both him and Alfred in these issues, seems wholly uncalled for and again honestly puts Tim in a pretty bad light.
...
The bit about Bruce keeping Steph as a bench warmer for Tim, almost a passive threat, like "if you ever leave me, Tim, then I'll have to let Steph do your job, and we both know she's not ready and will get herself or someone else hurt, which will be on you" is super messed up though, yeah. Even that though kind of ties into the pattern of bat folk being uncharacteristically mean to Stephanie. Bruce banned Cass from operating in the field entirely when she lost her 'powers', but now Steph is ready? Kind of implies he's more concerned about Cass's safety than Steph's.
Then again, maybe I'm not being fair to Bruce, as it is the absolutely worst possible interpretation of his actions here. He hasn't stent Steph out to fight super villains, or even on patrol, only out on some plain clothes investigation to check up on Tim. He's said she's ready to be trained, not for the field, and in the past he has trained kids he didn't think were ready simply because they were going to play at costumed crime fighting either way. This has been a key part of the in universe justification for Robins as long as there's been Robins.
But now that ties back to the pattern of the narrative framing Steph as excessively reckless and setting herself up for a fall for doing the same things that the comics have framed as heroic in other characters before her.
Sception Reads Cass Cain #34
Robin (1993) #88 - May 2001 Story: Chuck Dixon & Scott Beatty Pencils: Pete Woods, Ink: Andrew Pepoy Letters: Willie Schubert, Colors: Noelle Giddings
Guest appearance again this week. A bit more of a notable one because as far as I know this is officially the first time Cass Cain and Stephanie Brown meet. Kind of more significant in retrospect than in the moment, as they don't exactly hit it off right away, but still.
So the basic setup is that Bruce has decided Stephanie isn't going to just go away and stop doing Spoiler stuff so he might as well take her on officially and train her, a decision spurred on by Tim working more and more on his own & not answering Bruce's calls. When Tim disappeared from the country completely without telling Bruce where he went Bruce turned to Stephanie to check up on him, in the process telling Steph Tim's secret identity, which iirc (my Robin knowledge is limited, I could have this wrong) previously Tim had used as the reason they couldn't be in a relationship. Like "I can't date you, you don't even know who I am, and I can't tell you that even though I want to because it might give away Batman's identity, which isn't my secret to share. Also my life is super dangerous, and Batman doesn't think you're ready, and as much as I like you I have to respect his professional opinion on this"
On the one hand it's dicky of Bruce to not respect Tim's privacy the way Tim respected his, but on the other hand Tim blowing up about it kind of implies that all those things he told steph were excuses, and the real reason he didn't want to date her was that he just wasn't that into her. Or maybe he was, but got mad at her for getting pregnant by someone else after he rejected her and now doesn't want to date her because of that? Did that happen already, or after this? Again, I don't know the details of Robin Lore, but reading just this issue and the previous one for background, Tim is absolutely the one who comes off as worse here between him and Bruce.
So anyway that's what's going on. Cass shows up in all of this when Bruce takes Stephanie to one of his training caves and has Cass demonstrate a training routine that Steph is struggling with.
Which, yeah, I guess this is pretty badass or whatever,
But if this were a real life situation, Cass would have just decapitated like seven dudes. 100% fatality rate for the criminal dummies. You'd think Bruce would be a little less glowing in his praise over that, considering how much of his shitty behavior towards Cass started when he found out she might have (definitely did, but denial is a powerful drug) killed somebody.
Cass gives Steph the cold shoulder. Giving Dixon & Beatty the benefit of the doubt for a moment, this does fit very much into the recent evolution of Cass's character, becoming harder and harsher as she gets more isolated. She also may be picking up on and echoing Batman's lowish opinion of Stephanie as a vigilante / person, even if it has softened enough for the moment that he's willing to train her.
And it sets up for future interactions where Stephanie basically puts in the work to break through Cass's walls, despite her initial frosty attitude, to become the friend Cass needed when when she didn't have any others. The whole arc is honestly pretty touching and really speaks to Stephanie's character, and it isn't possible without this initial attitude from Cass.
....
On the other hand, this plays into an obnoxious trend of the entire bat family being written as incredibly rude and dickish towards Stephanie, in ways that very often feel completely out of character. Even (especially) Tim, her supposed love interest. Even Alfred!
Yes, calling Alfred 'the Butler' is rude, but Alfred was uncharacteristically rude and dismissive to her first in this scene.
And since it so often feels out of character, you get the impression that the people who actually hate Stephanie aren't the characters themselves, but rather the writers and editors at DC. That is eventually undeniably the case, once DiDio is in charge and War Games is happening.
But that's still 3 years away! I had to check, because the way the narrative is treating Stephanie right now, the way all the characters we're supposed to think are in the right here are treating her (Alfred, Tim, not Bruce), feels very much like the build up to War Games, with Stephanie finally getting a chance to shine and getting some respect from bruce, but with the overall narrative implying that's a bad thing somehow and that she isn't worthy, that despite all her work and earnest commitment she's somehow only coasting on hubris and setting herself up fro a fall, one that we as the audience are supposed to find, like, cathartic, or maybe at best tragic but in a cosmically justified sense that she brought on herself.
And it all kind of sucks, because no, she really doesn't deserve any of it. Or rather she hasn't been written to deserve any of it. The differences between her and Bruce's other sundry teen sidekicks and hangers on have overwhelmingly been in how others have been written as treating her, not the things she's been written as doing or in her personality or whatever.
I guess that's a free writer tip for you. If you want the reader to not like a character, write that character as doing or saying or thinking unlikable things, or acting for distasteful motives. Or give that character things they don't deserve or appreciate without having to work for them. Don't make them sweet and put-upon and have them try hard to do the right thing despite coming from a bad place and struggle to earn respect that others get for free only to have it denied to them anyway and then have all your main characters shit on them constantly for no reason or even explicitly for doing things that they all do and get rewarded for.
If you do all that, your readers will end up identifying with the character you want them to dislike and disliking the characters you want them to identify with.
EDIT: oh, I almost forgot, we do get this one cute 'proud papa' moment from Bruce:
Always nice to see those, especially amid all the less positive stuff going on with him and Cass right now.

awww one of my favorite celeb couples being adorable in public. She's so pretty, sweet and hilarious. I've never seen her or them do anything that wasn't a normal loving couple being a normal loving couple. They look so happy, and refreshed. I wish them much happiness and success.
If my guy took me to Paris and took a bunch of photos of me I would definitely post them too. It would be weird if she didn't post the photos he took of her. It's her life with her boyfriend, it's normal to post your bf. She doesn't even post a lot lol. Some celebs post way way way more. It would be weird if he didn't post her too, I think they found a nice balance between too little And too much. I think it's great he took so many photos, even the bathtub one was great. A very happy and comfy with each other couple. Maybe he took them and told her to post them as a middle finger to her haters that he agrees are insufferable? He did like a comment that called them that.
And she seems to have gotten an A letter necklace while there in Paris too, she's wearing it with the grey suit, he took pics of her in. For her musical or did he get it for her? That's so cute either way. I hope her musical does well, a modern redhead Cinderella.
I don't like the hate she gets bc it's uncalled for and no matter what she does she'd be torn apart by some people who are thirsty to hate on her bc she exists and is his gf. If she posts him she's a famewhore, that's using him, if she doesn't post him she's a self centered famewhore. She can't win so I'm hoping They ignore the haters and live their lives the way They see fit. They preferred him single and sad, instead of obviously happy. Maybe it destroys their fantasy? There seems to be a lot of fantasies regarding him and fake stuff online. They like to hate on him just as much as her. He has the same exact wrinkle and laugh lines as he did in Vikings. That's just his pretty face. The pic of him calling heaghmund "christian" comes to mind. They call him all sorts of things too or act like a grown man is somehow the victim. Why bc women always get the bitch edit. Misogyny is real and it's mostly coming from women. Or they're mad at him bc their fantasies are broken and he dared to get a Gf. That to me is horrible. Some people just want to hate and focus really hard to try to make anything she does negative. Even when there's nothing to find, they will make it up.
I'm sure alex knows her for who she really is. There's nothing in the very few clips of her that would make me believe she's anything other than as she presents herself to be. Sweet, lovely, and funny. Even the Hermes people liked her and they see kiss ass bullshitters daily. If she was fake they'd have ignored her and wouldn't have spent time with them. They commented they were glad to get to know her. That speaks volumes. Why shouldn't she also make contacts while in Paris. It's Good for her and him. This was an event he was invited to, he WAS NOT the star of the show. If she didn't network for them, herself, or him it would be a wasted opportunity. They both have careers to think about.
The people around her are kind and loyal, they know her. So whenever someone says "he's too close to see her, or he doesn't see what we see (haters)" I laugh bc that makes zero sense. He's seen her up close and personal for over a year. He knows her, in a real way. Bad days and good. Not some arm chair lunacy seen only from instagram that wants to judge her over the dumbest stuff. I'll trust his judgement of her over online haters any day. He does after all know who he's dating. He's happy, she's happy. I'm celebrating the happiness these two strangers (to me) have found with each other.
I know tons of people that think shes awesome, the cats pajamas, etc. But felt like it should be said again. Bc a singer actress that's been nominated twice for big DK awards who comes across as sweet and funny, is imo a good catch. And it doesn't hurt that she's so beautiful. 😊😊😊
